Superior potency grape seed extract is a 100:1 concentrate guaranteed to contain a minimum of 95% polyphenols and 80% proanthocyanidins. Unlike some grape seed products, Webber Naturals® Antioxidant Grape Seed Extract is not made from oven- or sun-dried seeds. It is made exclusively from fresh, non-GMO grape seeds separated during juice production. This method produces a high ratio of the key polyphenols. The extraction process uses water and ultra filtration; not organic or alcohol solvents.

Grape seed extract is a rich source of polyphenols, powerful plant compounds that help the body fight the damaging and aging effects of free radicals. Grape seed extract also provides a concentrated source of one of the most beneficial groups of plant flavonoids called proanthocyanidins (also called oligomeric proanthocyanidins or OPCs/PCOs). These flavonoids exert many health-promoting effects, mainly due to their anti-inflammatory and antioxidative actions. Although polyphenols and PCOs exist in many plants, grape seed extract is one of the preferred sources because of the high naturally-occurring levels of these compounds, and much supporting research available.

These bioflavonoids help strengthen blood vessels, increase the tone and elasticity of capillary walls, enhance the effects of vitamin C, and quench free radicals. They also have an antihistamine effect. In a controlled clinical trial, leucoanthocyanins from grape seed were administered to patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease of the lower limbs. There was a marked improvement in clinical symptoms.
